Viscose has a soft, subtle sheen and a heavier, more luxurious fall than cotton — it moves like silk at a fraction of the fuss. This is the fabric for the evening you want to feel dressed without feeling weighed down.

Chikankari is Lucknow's white-thread shadow embroidery, stitched entirely by hand — no two pieces are identical, and that is the point. On viscose the stitches sit softly against the weave rather than on top of it.

Care

• Gentle hand wash in cold water, separately for the first wash
• Mild detergent; no bleach
• Do not wring — press out water and dry flat or on a hanger in the shade
• Iron on the reverse on a low setting, never directly on the embroidery
